Tectonic Engineering is seeking a full-time Transportation Construction Inspector to support ongoing projects in the Harrisburg, PA area. The role involves traveling to sites to inspect construction work, monitor contractor activities, and prepare field reports in alignment with plans and specifications.

The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and safety discipline, with competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Read plans, specifications, and construction documents to interpret work orders.
• Communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and inspectors about test results and specifications.
• Be detail-oriented and able to detect non-conformities during testing and report them promptly.
• Complete required safety training within a reasonable period.

Responsibilities

• Travel to project sites to perform daily inspections per plans and specs.
• Monitor contractor activities and perform field testing with appropriate procedures.
• Prepare daily field reports and communicate deficiencies to PMs, contractors, and clients.
• Interpret drawings and build documents and work orders.
• Follow project safety protocols.
• Perform other duties to ensure project success.
