Job summary

Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, DPC seeks Transportation Construction Inspectors & Engineers in Harrisburg, PA. The role involves traveling to project sites to inspect construction work, monitor contractor activities, and perform field testing in accordance with plans and specifications.

The position requires interpreting drawings, preparing daily field reports, and communicating deficiencies to project managers, contractors, and clients while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• 5 years of site development, highway or bridge construction or inspection experience.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar preferred.
• Basic understanding and ability to interpret written specifications, plans, and construction documents.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, supervisors, and inspectors regarding specifications and test results.
• Detail-oriented with ability to detect non-conformities during testing and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Travel to project sites to perform daily inspections and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Monitor contractor activities and perform field testing with appropriate procedures and equipment.
• Prepare daily field reports and communicate deficiencies to project managers, contractors, and clients.
• Interpret drawings and work orders, and follow safety protocols.
• Perform related duties to ensure successful project completion.
