Job summary

Travelers in Minnesota seeks a Senior Litigation Claim Representative to manage complex, high-exposure claims. You will apply claims management, investigative techniques, and policy language to reach timely, fair resolutions.

You will guide and mentor Claim Reps, coordinate with legal counsel, and ensure documentation meets internal standards. A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of liability/transportation claims experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Seven years of experience in insurance claims, preferably commercial transportation.
• Experience with claims management and software systems.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles, terminology with the ability to understand and articulate policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to handle complex claims and negotiate settlements.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to providing a positive experience for insureds and claimants.
• Acquisition and maintenance of Insurance Licenses may be required within three months of starting the job.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of complex or technical Northland transportation claims.
• Conduct detailed inspections and interviews to gather information and assess claim validity.
• Analyze and interpret policy language, endorsements, and exclusions to make informed decisions.
• Maintain detailed claim documentation and comply with internal protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Claim Reps and Trainees to foster development.
