Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead electric transmission routing and siting projects in Virginia. You will develop buildable routing solutions, work with utility staff, regulators, and landowners, and supervise a growing team within HDR’s employee-owned culture.

You will prepare testimonies and documentation, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and help advance HDR’s power practice across regional and national projects in Vienna, Glen Allen, and Richmond areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 10 years related experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Ability to interact with design teams and communicate effectively.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop buildable routing and siting solutions for utility infrastructure.
• Collaborate with project teams including utility staff and consultants.
• Engage with regulators, government agencies, communities and landowners.
• Prepare testimony and technical documentation for route and site selection.
• Prepare and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop newer staff to deliver client work.
• Build relationships with HDR and utility staff.
• Support strategic thinking, client relations, and lead development.
• Perform other duties as needed.
