Irby Construction Company, a leading electrical contractor and subsidiary of Quanta Services, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead transmission, distribution, and substation projects from the Central Regional office in Richland, MS. The role covers project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and safety compliance across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience (5+ years’ project management in the construction industry).
• 10 years or more of experience in the electrical industry and/or project management within transmission, distribution, or substation construction preferred.
• Knowledgeable about specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project construction schedules.
• Prepare and submit RFIs to clients.
• Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects.
• Act as the main point-of-contact on large complex projects.
• Coordinate and lead meetings, schedule updates, and deliverables, and address items requested by clients.
• Prepare look-ahead documents and progress reports and related billing information.
• Review and monitor job costs versus budgets.
• Report regularly to the management team.
• Help prepare and update comprehensive cost estimates for projects as necessary.
• Prepare bills of material and other information.
