Job summary

Irby Construction Company in the power infrastructure sector seeks a Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate high-voltage transmission projects, oversee multiple crews, and ensure safe, high-quality, cost-effective delivery. A minimum of 3 years of powerline construction experience and knowledge of OSHA codes is required.

You will lead pre-construction planning, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate with owners and stakeholders, review contracts, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills essential.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Construction Planning: attend meetings, review bids, assist with plans and scheduling.
• Project Planning & Management: oversee budgets, schedules, submittals, and cost forecasts.
• Construction Execution: ensure safety, quality, and contract compliance; coordinate crews.
• Contract Administration: negotiate revisions, align contracts with policies.
• Documentation & Reporting: maintain records and present updates to leadership.
• Stakeholder Communication: build relationships with owners, suppliers, and staff.
• Material & Quality Management: track BOM, inventory, and material usage.
• Team Leadership & Development: mentor project staff; lead meetings.
• General Duties: ensure cost control, progress, and regulatory compliance.
