Job summary

encoord seeks a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer to join the Denver-area team, focusing on integrated planning workflows within SAInt and close collaboration with development and customer teams. The role blends hands-on transmission studies with shaping next-gen grid planning solutions for utilities.

Applicants should have 5+ years in transmission planning, strong tool experience (PSS/E, PowerWorld, PSLF, PowerFactory) and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; strong planning background.
• 5+ years in transmission planning at utility, ISO, or consultancy.
• Hands-on with planning methodologies and industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated planning workflows within SAInt for reliability and economic studies.
• Translate planning requirements into product and modeling specs.
• Build and review transmission planning cases using standard analyses.
• Prototype automation for large network study processes.
• Collaborate with software engineers to implement features and ensure quality.
• Support client engagements with technical transmission planning expertise.
