Qualus is seeking a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer to work remotely in the United States, supporting utilities within the WECC. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in transmission planning, deep knowledge of power system analysis, and hands-on expertise with PSLF, PSSE, TARA or PowerWorld.

You will lead complex steady-state and transient stability studies and mentor junior engineers. You will communicate results clearly, justify recommendations with data, and collaborate with

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.
• Experience running Steady State and Transient Stability studies.
• Knowledge of power system analysis and modeling techniques.
• Experience using PSLF software.
• Experience with transmission planning for utilities in the WECC.
• Strong analytical and computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills.

Mansioni

• Provide technical direction and philosophy for Qualus in transmission planning.
• Run Steady State and Transient Stability studies.
• Utilize load flow tools like PSLF/PSSE/TARA/PowerWorld.
• Generate System Impact Studies and Transmission Service Requests.
