Job summary

Qualus is seeking a fully remote Transmission Planning Engineer to support their Resource Integration Advisory group. This role focuses on NERC reliability standards compliance modeling, generator, and transmission system studies across North America.

Qualified candidates will have a BS in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of power system modeling. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in power system planning or compliance in North America.
• Strong knowledge of NERC standards MOD-025/026/027/032 and PRC-019/024/025/026.
• Experience with protection-related studies and relay coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead power system modeling and validation studies for NERC compliance.
• Develop and validate models for synchronous generators and inverter-based resources.
• Perform generator model validation testing and technical documentation preparation.
