Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer in System Planning to provide transmission-focused expertise for power system studies and project development. You will model and develop the transmission system, including lines and substations, emphasizing reliability analyses.

The role can be based in Hartford, Berlin (CT), or Westwood (MA); hybrid work options apply with in-office requirements and emergency response duties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of directly related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and maintain system models for transmission studies.
• Conduct adequacy assessments and develop delivery options.
• Interpret and apply transmission planning standards and regulations.
• Represent department on industry committees.
• Collaborate with ISO-NE and other utilities on regional studies.
• Communicate results clearly and train junior staff.
