Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Lead Engineer for Transmission System Planning in Massachusetts. You will lead a team of engineers, oversee modeling and analysis of the electric transmission system, and ensure reliability through robust planning and studies.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining power flow models, coordinating with ISO-NE and regional stakeholders, and delivering strategic solutions for system improvements with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Power Systems Engineering/Analysis experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex issues clearly.
• Familiarity with NERC, NPCC and ISO-NE planning standards and processes.
• Experience interfacing with ISO-NE staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the System Planning team and assign tasks to direct reports.
• Maintain and develop the system power flow model and input data.
• Perform and review loads, parameters, contingencies and topology.
• Drive strategic analysis and proposed solutions for EMA/NH regions.
• Coordinate with ISO-NE, DER, and other groups on system impacts.
