Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Senior Engineer for Transmission System Planning to provide transmission-focused SME input for modeling and development of the transmission system. The role covers power flow, stability, short-circuit, and electromagnetic transient analyses, with representation on regional committees such as NEPOOL/ISO-NE.

Based in Westwood, MA or nearby CT locations, the role offers hybrid work with on-site expectations and emergency readiness, plus collaboration across System Planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical preferred.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Five plus years of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the system models for transmission studies including collection, review and modification of electrical parameters.
• Conduct adequacy assessments and develop options to meet delivery objectives.
• Represent the department and the company on industry committees and collaborate with ISO-NE on regional studies.
• Train junior staff in technical analyses and procedures.
