Job summary

Eversource Energy isHiring a Senior Engineer for Transmission Systems Planning to provide subject-matter expertise in power system studies and project development. The role focuses on modeling and development of the transmission system, including reliability analyses such as power flow and transient stability.

The position supports collaboration across teams and on regional committees (NEPOOL, NERC, NPCC, ISO-NE) with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical preferred.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and maintain the system models for transmission studies including collection, review and/or modification of a variety of electric system parameters: equipment ratings, impedances, contingency sets, protection and control parameters, as well as system topology.
• Conducts adequacy assessments and develops options to meet delivery objectives with latitude for independent action and decision making.
• Represents the department and the company on various industry related committees and with ISO-NE in regional transmission expansion studies.
