Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer for Transmission System Planning. The role focuses on modeling and development of the transmission system, with emphasis on reliability studies such as power flow and transient stability.

Hybrid work options are available in Westwood, MA, Berlin CT, or Hartford CT. Candidate should have 5+ years of related experience, a Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical preferred), and familiarity with PSSE, TARA, ASPEN, PSCAD, and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical preferred.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Five plus years of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system models for transmission studies including collection, review and modification of electrical parameters.
• Conduct adequacy assessments and develop options to meet delivery objectives with independent action.
• Represent the department on industry committees and participate with ISO-NE and others in regional expansion studies.
