Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Transmission Systems Planning Team. The role offers technical leadership in complex planning studies, collaboration with ISO-NE, NPCC, and other stakeholders, and oversight of regulatory testimony.

The position requires extensive experience with power system modeling, HVDC/IBR, and NES/NEPOOL interfaces. Hybrid work options are available across multiple CT/MA locations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or science field.
• PE License preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years specialized experience in transmission planning, software simulations, and IBR modeling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical specialist to transmission planning; act as internal/external expert.
• Lead reliability and strategic scenario-based planning studies.
• Develop robust, low-cost engineering solutions and present results to management.
