Job summary

Eversource is seeking an Associate Engineer in Transmission System Planning to assist in modeling and development of the transmission system. You will support studies such as power flow, stability, and EMT under guidance, with a focus on ensuring reliable and compliant bulk power system planning.

Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in power systems and software tools, plus a willingness to grow through hands-on project work across the service territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
• 0-3 years related experience; internship preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with planning, design, and operations related to transmission lines and substations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and maintenance of transmission system models and study results.
• Support power system studies including load flow, stability, EMT, and short-circuit analyses.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and interfacing groups to define study scopes and resolutions.
