Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks a Lead Engineer for Transmission System Planning to oversee power system studies and model development for the New England grid. You will coordinate with internal teams and ISO-NE, NEPOOL, NPCC, and other stakeholders to ensure reliable transmission system planning.

The role requires 8+ years in power systems analysis, strong communication skills, and familiarity with NERC/NPCC/ISO-NE standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in Power Systems Engineering/Planning for transmission.
• Strong communication and writing skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with NERC, NPCC, ISO-NE reliability standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the System Planning team and assign tasks to engineers.
• Develop and maintain the system power flow model and inputs.
• Coordinate with ISO-NE, NEPOOL, NPCC and other stakeholders.
• Assess reliability, perform studies (load flow, stability, EMT).
• Prepare study updates and present results to stakeholders.
• Represent the company on regional committees as needed.
