Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Sr Engineer (Trans) to perform a wide range of transmission line maintenance, design, project management and construction duties within the MS Transmission Grid. Responsibilities include evaluating engineering techniques, supporting outages, and integrating safety standards across the system.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with PE considered. Experience in transmission line design, project management and mentoring others is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a 4-year accredited institution.
• PE may be considered with engineering technology degrees.
• Preferred: Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct independent engineering work requiring judgement in evaluation and selection of techniques.
• Devises new approaches to solving problems as they arise.
• Perform advanced studies and analyses for the transmission system.
• Ensure NESC and NEC standards are followed across the system.
• Advise with field engineering and operations to execute maintenance plans.
• Manage project budgets and develop cost estimates for transmission line projects.
• Lead and mentor other engineers and technical staff.
