Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Sr Engineer (Trans) in Flora, MS to perform a wide range of engineering activities in transmission line maintenance, design, project management and construction, and operations within the MS Transmission Grid organization. This includes routine, non-routine, and emergency restoration duties across transmission line systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a four-year accredited institution.
• Degrees in engineering technology with PE may be considered.
• Preferred: Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct independent engineering work requiring judgment in evaluation and selection of techniques and criteria.
• Devise new approaches to solving problems as they arise.
• Perform advanced engineering studies and analysis for Entergy's transmission system.
• Ensure NESC standards are maintained across the transmission system.
• Apply engineering principles in evaluating alternatives and interpreting electrical codes.
