Job summary

Ameren Transmission in Missouri is seeking a Transmission Line Design and Maintenance Engineer to lead design studies, maintenance, and project management for transmission lines above 100 kV. You will handle multiple projects and coordinate across real estate, drafting, and construction teams. The role requires a B.S.

in engineering, EIT or PE pursuit, and strong analytical and communication skills. Prior experience with transmission line maintenance is preferred, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• EIT certification or commitment to pursue one in Illinois and/or Missouri.
• P.E. license or commitment to pursue one in Illinois and/or Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineering to establish safe parameters meeting design codes; select structures and materials.
• Evaluate lines for NESC compliance, safety guidelines, upgrades; provide expert testimony.
• Develop cost estimates, schedules, and preliminary designs for projects.
• Create scoping documents and basis of design for projects inside/outside Ameren's territory.
• Use project management tools to control costs, schedules and progress.
• Coordinate with real estate, drafting, contractors and other teams on projects.
