Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager to oversee high‑voltage and EHV transmission line projects across multiple states, including Texas. The role covers lifecycle management from proposal through closeout, ensuring quality, scope, and budget adherence, while providing strategic direction to teams and clients.

The successful candidate will manage technical, scheduling, quality, and financial aspects, develop client relationships, and market WSP’s Power Delivery services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field is required.
• 7+ years post-education experience in a project management role within the Power Delivery/Utility industry.
• Minimum of 5 years experience providing engineering services for IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis, etc.
• Minimum of 3 years leading engineering or construction teams on high‑voltage or extra‑high‑voltage transmission line projects.
• Proficiency with contract management, earned value management, change management, risk management, schedule management (Primavera P6 or equivalent), and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for projects of varying scale including detailed design, budgeting, forecasting, risks, and contractual obligations.
• Develop strategies to engage stakeholders, maintain relationships, and report on progress.
• Lead contract negotiations and client presentations.
• Drive QA/QC, recruit staff, and manage resource allocation.
• Maintain risk, PM plan, quality, safety, and communications documentation.
• Provide regular reporting to clients and management on issues and recoveries.
