Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager to lead high‑voltage transmission projects across multiple states. The role focuses on technical delivery, budgeting, risk management, and client relationship building within the Power Delivery/Utility sector.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, conduct contract reviews, and mentor staff while ensuring QA/QC compliance and effective project communications. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field in Power & Energy.
• 7+ years of post-education experience as a project manager in Power Delivery/Utility.
• 5+ years in IOUs/IPPs/Co-ops/Munis.
• 3+ years leading engineering/construction teams on electrical utility projects.
• Proficiency with contract, risk, schedule, change management (CPM/Primavera P6).
• Financial management experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for high‑voltage/ EHV transmission line projects from proposal to closeout.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs, and risk contingencies; ensure contractual obligations.
• Engage stakeholders, maintain relationships, and report progress to clients.
• Conduct go/no-go decisions, contract reviews, risk mitigation, and pricing reviews.
• Lead negotiations and client presentations as required.
• Drive technical reviews and QA/QC adherence; mentor assigned staff.
• Maintain project documentation (Risk, PMP, QP, PSP, communications).
• Lead kickoff meetings and manage resources/subcontractors; track monthly status.
• Deliver lessons‑learned and ensure effective reporting to stakeholders.
