Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking an Engineering Project Manager for Transmission Line projects. He/she will provide engineering expertise across the lifecycle and support field operations, procurement, and key stakeholders within QISG.

The role requires extensive HV experience, leadership, and the ability to manage internal and external engineering teams. Reporting to the Engineering Director, the position emphasizes safety, quality, and cost efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the electric utility industry performing engineering related duties and/or management for high voltage electrical projects.
• ABET-accredited university degree in engineering (BS or MS).
• P.E. license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategically collaborate with engineering and operational leadership on technical goals and oversee engineering work.
• Act as a technical lead during conceptual, preliminary engineering, detailed design, construction, and closeout phases of the project lifecycle; may involve customer/site visits.
• Manage performance of engineering service providers; develop and review KPIs with senior leadership.
• Develop and implement engineering controls and quality assurance standards.
• Ensure internal technical documentation and standards meet company and customer requirements.
• Manage engineering staffing initiatives and plan for resource needs to support growth.
• Lead, mentor, and oversee training strategy for engineering staff.
• Support business development through client meetings, proposals, and project planning.
• Coordinate with Quanta Engineering and Construction Ops to drive work.
• Drive innovation in engineering processes using new technologies and best practices.
• Foster safety, quality, and integrity within the engineering department.
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovations into designs and processes.
• Represent QISG in industry forums and associations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
