Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions seeks an Engineering Project Manager - Transmission Line to lead technical efforts across project lifecycles, from design through delivery. You will work with engineering, field operations, procurement, and stakeholders to ensure safe, cost-effective and reliable electrical transmission solutions.

The role requires coordinating engineering staff, external providers, and client needs, reporting to the Engineering Director, and driving innovation while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in electric utility engineering or management for HV projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university; PE license preferred.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and budget.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and operations leadership on technical goals and oversee engineering work.
• Lead conceptual through closeout phases, including customer/site visits as needed.
• Manage performance of engineering service providers and develop KPIs with senior leadership.
• Develop and implement engineering controls and quality assurance standards.
• Ensure internal docs and standards meet requirements.
• Lead staffing initiatives and plan resources for growth.
• Mentor training for engineering staff.
• Support business development via client meetings, proposals, and planning.
• Drive innovation and use new technologies to improve delivery.
