NV5 is seeking a Sr. Transmission Line Engineer to lead overhead transmission line projects across the Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, or Florida region with remote option. The role emphasizes client liaison, design using PLS tools, and QA/QC oversight to strengthen NV5's utility portfolio.

The ideal candidate holds a P.E. license, ABET degree, and 10+ years in transmission line projects, including design, routing, and field data collection. Expect competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• B.S. degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of progressive experience within overhead transmission line projects with QA/QC.
• Expertise with Power Line Systems software (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE), MFAD and L-Pile; PLS-TOWER is a plus.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for power delivery projects.
• Increase the volume of overhead line work with existing clients.
• Assist in marketing, promotion and business development to add new regional clients.
• Prepare, review, and P.E. seal technical calculation reports and construction documents.
• Assist in routing and design of overhead transmission lines using industry-standard tools.
• Support the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, BOM, and technical documentation.
• Participate in field visits to collect data and support construction activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Contribute to project planning, cost estimation and proposal preparation.
• Maintain organized records of project decisions and communications.
• Structure analysis and foundation design; develop design criteria and specs.
• Mentor junior staff and manage multiple projects with QA/QC.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
