Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer for our Power team. The role can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

You will supervise engineering groups, prepare line deliverables, and mentor staff to ensure high-quality project outcomes. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of transmission line experience, a US PE license, and strong communication skills to lead multi-disciplinary teams across projects valued at up to 115 kV and beyond.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
10+ years of related engineering experience.
US Professional Engineer license required.
Experience with transmission lines ≥115 kV.
Consulting engineering experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Supervising groups of professionals and small teams in the Power sector to execute projects.
Prepare and/or review engineering deliverables for transmission lines.
Prepare and/or review material lists, construction details, drawings, and diagrams.
Prepare and/or review procurement activities and deliverables.
Prepare purchase requisition, review supplier bids and submissions.
Mentor and provide technical support to team members.
Liaise with discipline leads, project managers, vendors, and clients for design clarity.
Document and track project tasks and design documents (strong organizational skills).
Complete constructability reviews of design packages.
Perform inspections for procurement of material.
Monitor and report project schedules and budgets.
