Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr Transmission Line Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead engineering activities in the Transmission Line Engineering Department, collaborating with in-house and client engineers, and mentoring junior staff.

The Lead Engineer will oversee a small team and coordinate training. Primary duties include design, documentation, cost estimation, and project leadership for 69 kV–765 kV facilities, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering with ABET accreditation.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering activities for Transmission Line projects, including analysis, route selection, and construction management.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications, project schedules, and material bills of materials.
• Develop design options with cost estimates and provide leadership to train/mentor junior engineers.
• Lead transmission projects, coordinate with contractors and government/regulatory agencies, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Occasional travel for site visits.
