Job summary

GFT is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join the Power Business Group. Remote work is available for the right candidate, with hybrid options in multiple U.S. locations.

You will design transmission lines, lead project discussions, and mentor a team while ensuring compliance with NESC/IEEE/NEC standards. The role emphasizes cost estimation, design packages, and coordination with clients and internal teams to advance energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of transmission line design experience.
• Strong knowledge of NESC, IEEE, and NEC.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD.
• Experience in utility consulting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee transmission line project designs as SME.
• Review and write specifications to meet NESC/IEEE/NEC standards.
• Develop design criteria, construction specs, and package documentation.
• Estimate costs, resources, and schedules for projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients.
