GFT in the Power Business Group seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead design of transmission projects, serving as a subject matter expert and guiding client discussions.

You will use PLS-CADD, develop design criteria and construction specifications, prepare packages, estimate costs, ensure NESC/IEEE/NEC compliance, and travel to client sites. Hybrid work is available; remote for the right candidate.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering from an accredited college.
• 4+ years of experience in transmission line design.
• Knowledge of NESC, IEEE, NEC and related codes.
• High proficiency in PLS-CADD.
• Experience in utility consulting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design transmission line segments using PLS-CADD or other software.
• Develop design criteria documents and construction specifications.
• Prepare construction packages with structure details, material lists, staking tables, plan and profiles, and stringing charts.
• Estimate project costs, resources, labor, and materials with realistic deadlines.
• Write and review specifications to meet NESC/IEEE/NEC standards.
• Conduct feasibility and routing studies and EMF calculations.
• Oversee project implementation and verify foundations and installations.
• Lead or assist with proposals and business development initiatives.
• Travel to client sites for project definition and execution.
• Mentor and coach engineers and technicians.
