Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to join our Project Management Organization, designing transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications and reviewing technical specifications and drawings.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, strong structural design knowledge, and proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD. Collaboration with engineers, project managers, clients and contractors is essential to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in transmission line design for high voltage applications.
• Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis principles and tools.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, and IEEE.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications.
• Prepare and review technical specifications and drawings.
• Conduct engineering analysis and simulations for transmission line design.
• Provide support to the project team during construction and installation.
• Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure project goals are met.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Perform field work as required to support design, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as required.
