Job summary

Leidos seeks Senior & Lead Transmission Line Engineers to join a dynamic team solving complex electric transmission problems. Remote role with MT-friendly hours; you will design HV/EHV overhead and underground systems, apply NESC/ASCE standards, and prepare plans, specs, and procurement documents.

The position requires 4+ years for mid level and 8+ years with leadership for lead level, plus proficiency in PLScadd, POLE, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering with 4+ years of utility transmission design experience.
• Leadership or mentoring experience for Lead level (8+ years total, 2+ years leadership).
• Experience reviewing transmission designs, PLScadd models, and construction packages.

Responsibilities

• Design electric utility transmission systems for HV and EHV lines.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specs, and procurement materials.
• Interface with clients, planners, and project teams to deliver projects.
• Lead, mentor, or supervise project staff as required.
