Job summary

The role directs engineers in PLS‑CADD modeling, structure loading, foundation design, and drawings, with a focus on grid modernization through AI and automation, and offers remote options for Pacific Northwest candidates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Civil preferred.
8+ years of relevant experience in design of electric utility transmission systems with a Bachelor's.
Expertise in PLS‑CADD and PLS‑POLE.
Engineer In Training (EIT) certification.
Work effectively in a team environment; can also work independently.
Strong communication to serve as primary client contact.
Onsite work with Leidos or client offices possible; some travel may be required.
Ability and passion to develop staff through mentoring.

Responsibilities

Direct multiple design teams on projects for multiple clients.
Develop and mentor engineering staff across the team.
Supervise staff by approving timesheets and performance reviews.
Lead the Transmission Line Section as a key member of the leadership team.
Create responses to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs and define scope of work.
Apply AI, automation, and digital design platforms to grid modernization and design efficiency.
