Job summary

ISG is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer in Brookfield, WI to design overhead transmission projects from concept through construction. You will work on high-voltage systems (25kV+), using tools like PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable infrastructure.

The role requires a Civil or Electrical Engineering degree and 5+ years of transmission line experience, with PE licensure or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years in design/analysis of transmission lines (25kV+).
• PE license or ability to obtain license desired.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage and structural engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission line routes, configurations, and structures per specs and codes (25kV+).
• Perform structural analyses, sag-tension, and clearance checks with standard tools.
• Develop detailed design packages for bidding, permitting, and construction.
• Collaborate with ROW, environmental, and PM teams to deliver projects.
• Conduct site visits to assess terrain, constraints, and propose designs.
• Assist with estimates, schedules, and procurement strategies.
• Provide construction-phase support and ensure alignment with timelines.
• Maintain knowledge of client standards and industry codes.
• Engage with clients through meetings and provide technical insights.
