Job summary

ISG in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to design overhead transmission projects from concept through construction, leveraging tools like PLS-CADD and AutoCAD to deliver high‑voltage solutions.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, conduct site visits, and develop design packages for bidding and permitting while ensuring compliance with NESC, IEEE, and ASCE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in the design and analysis of transmission lines (25kV+).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems and related standards.
• Proficiency in design software: PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission line routes, configurations, and structures.
• Perform structural analysis, sag-tension calculations, and clearance checks.
• Develop design packages for bidding, permitting, construction.
• Coordinate with ROW, environmental, and project management teams.
• Conduct site visits to assess terrain and constraints.
• Provide construction-phase support and address design changes.
• Engage with clients through meetings and technical updates.
