Job summary

The Haskell Company seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer in the Madison, WI area to lead the design, analysis, and execution of high-voltage transmission projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliant, cost-effective designs throughout the project lifecycle.

You will serve as a technical expert in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER, delivering detailed models, drawings, and bills of materials while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state (or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
• 8+ years of experience in high-voltage transmission line engineering (69kV-500kV).
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and/or PLS-TOWER; MFAD, LPILE, or FAD Tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform design and analysis of overhead transmission lines, including structure selection, routing, line modeling, and foundation engineering.
• Develop and review PLS-CADD models, structure spotting, plan & profile drawings, and loading calculations.
• Interpret survey data, environmental constraints, and utility standards into constructible designs.
• Provide technical support during bidding, procurement, and construction phases; support Owner's Engineer services.
