Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Designer in Orlando, FL to join a dynamic team solving challenging problems in electric transmission for HV and EHV systems. You will design overhead and underground routes, reconductor projects, greenfield and brownfield work and prepare plans, specifications, procurement and construction documents.

The role requires at least four years of relevant experience, proficiency with PLS-CADD models and NESC knowledge, and the ability to work with clients

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of prior relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.
• Experience involved in full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models, material, plan and profiles, and construction packages.
• Knowledge of NESC requirements; material procurement process; project schedules; and construction work packages.
• Ability to work effectively in team environment but also able to work independently.
• Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Design electric transmission line systems for HV and EHV overhead and underground layouts.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, procurement, and construction documents.
• Contribute to reconductor, greenfield, brownfield, and structure replacement projects.
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams.
