Job summary

ULCS is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Estimator to lead estimating strategy for complex transmission, substation, storm restoration, and utility projects. You will advise Operations Leadership and Executive Management, shaping pursuit strategy, risk evaluation, and execution plans.

This fully remote position prefers candidates in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Texas but will consider qualified applicants nationwide.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of transmission line estimating experience on high-voltage projects (69kV–500kV+).
• Advanced proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid; Bid2Win experience valued.
• Experience leading estimates for transmission EPC projects and capital programs.
• Experience with MSAs, storm restoration, and emergency response programs.
• Strong communication and leadership across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for large, complex transmission, substation, and storm projects from opportunity to bid submission.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor estimates using HCSS HeavyBid and related tools.
• Collaborate with Operations and Leadership to shape bid strategy and execution plans.
• Review drawings, contracts, and specs to identify risks and pricing opportunities.
• Mentor estimating team and drive continuous improvement of estimating standards.
