Job summary

Electric Power Engineers is seeking a Senior Transmission Engineer to lead high-voltage transmission line design, modeling, and standards development. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective engineering solutions using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Tower, while aligning with ASCE, NESC, IEEE, and client standards.

You will help develop engineering standards, BOD, and calculation tools, and provide technical leadership across transmission and distribution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural, or related Engineering discipline.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission design of projects from 69kV to 500kV+ from concept through design completion.
• Oversee calculations, modeling, and analysis for conductor/shield wire, structure loading, and clearance studies.
• Prepare transmission equipment specs, RFQs, bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
• Develop and maintain PLS-Pole models, sag-tension tables, and related engineering tools.
• Create and maintain Basis of Design documents, design guidelines, and technical documentation.
• Perform structural analyses for non-standard applications and provide engineering solutions.
