Job summary
Exelon is seeking a Senior Engineer in Transmission Asset Planning to lead complex studies, guide internal teams, and strengthen the reliability of the Bulk power system. You will perform dynamic, stability, and transient analyses using PSSE, TARA, and PSCAD, while collaborating with multiple engineering groups.
The role requires 7+ years in engineering, a PE license, and experience with ISOs such as ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, or IESO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience
- Experience with transmission planning and bulk system studies
- Knowledge of US power industry standards (FERC/NERC)
Responsibilities
- Perform transmission planning, dynamics, stability and transient studies using PSSE, TARA, PSCAD.
- Evaluate transmission system dynamics under high penetrations of renewables.
- Lead complex studies such as RAS design related studies.
- Provide technical guidance to internal departments on planning and policy issues.
- Lead and perform assignments in transmission planning areas requiring extensive engineering expertise.
