The role focuses on modeling and analyzing transmission studies, developing study scopes for long-range plans, and communicating results to diverse audiences. The position emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-disciplinary coordination to deliver reliable system improvements and adherence to NERC/FERC requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or Physics from ABET accredited curriculum; electrical engineering preferred.
• EIT/FE strongly preferred; graduate degree in related fields encouraged.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in power systems studies or transmission planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform modeling and analysis for steady state and stability simulations.
• Develop scopes for studies to guide long-range transmission plans.
• Communicate study results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Improve planning procedures through self-directed work and problem solving.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate tasks across teams.
