Job summary
Exelon is seeking a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer to lead complex transmission studies and guide internal teams across planning and operations. You will perform dynamic stability and transient analyses, work with PSSE, TARA, PSCAD, PSLF, and related tools, and help shape reliability improvements for the bulk power system.
The role requires strong engineering knowledge, experience with ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, or IESO interfaces, and a track record of delivering robust transmission planning
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or equivalent.
- PE license or able to obtain.
- Experience with transmission planning and bulk system studies.
Responsibilities
- Perform transmission planning, dynamics, stability and transient studies using PSSE, TARA, PSCAD, PSLF, etc.
- Lead complex studies such as RAS design related studies.
- Provide technical guidance to internal departments on planning and policy issues.
- Develop software solutions to enhance power system analysis at scale.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and review analyses.
