Job summary
Exelon Corporation is seeking a Senior Engineer in Transmission Asset Planning to lead complex studies and provide technical guidance across departments in Oak Brook, IL. You will analyze voltage dynamics, stability, and transient responses while collaborating with product and engineering teams to scale power system analysis.
The role requires strong expertise in PSSE, TARA, PSCAD and experience with ISOs (ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM or IESO).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- PE license preferred; strong transmission planning experience.
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Experience with ISOs: ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, and/or IESO.
- Proficiency with PSSE, TARA, PSCAD.
Responsibilities
- Perform transmission planning and dynamic studies using PSSE, TARA, PSCAD.
- Provide technical guidance to Engineering, Operations, Substation teams.
- Lead complex RAS design studies and bulk system analyses.
- Develop software solutions to enhance power system analysis at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on planning and policy issues.
