MRINetwork is seeking a Principal Engineer, Transmission System Planning, to provide technical leadership in long-range planning studies across multiple regions. You will guide modeling, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to enable reliable, cost-effective transmission expansions.

The role requires extensive experience with PSSE/PSCAD, IBR modeling, HVDC knowledge, and strong communication skills for regulatory testimony and committee participation. Hybrid locations offered.

Formación

• 10+ years of specialized experience in transmission planning, software simulations and IBR modeling.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory applied to planning an electric power supply system.
• Experience producing results using power system modeling and simulation software for steady state, voltage, short circuit and transient studies.
• Familiarity with NERC, NPCC, ISO-NE planning procedures and related standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead reliability and strategic scenario-based planning studies under various system conditions.
• Develop robust, low-cost solutions and provide technical input to project design.
• Document results, prepare testimony, and present to stakeholders as needed.
• Interface with ISO-NE, area transmission owners, and internal teams to address system needs.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical training to staff.
