Job summary

Exelon in Illinois is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee indirect Distribution and Transmission & Substation professionals responsible for central project construction. You will manage scope, schedule, budget and collaborate with stakeholders across fields to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires strong project management background in electrical utility projects (12kV–34kV), with a focus on safety and team leadership; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4-7 years of Transmission/Distribution construction experience.
• Knowledge of Project Management concepts or principles.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and regulations.
• Project Management experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Proven analytical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated business acumen and customer awareness to create value.
• Certifications required within first year include LOTO and OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction to meet scope, budget, and schedule while assessing risk and minimizing adverse conditions.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to maximize productivity and safety.
• Review engineering drawings to resolve constructability issues and delays.
• Act as primary communicator between Project Management and field work groups; lead site meetings.
• Monitor safety, perform weekly observations, and participate in root-cause investigations as needed.
• Attend staff and project meetings; provide progress updates and notes.
• Engage with stakeholders via site visits to communicate processes and protocols.
