Job summary

Think Power Solutions LLC is seeking a skilled Transmission Construction Representative (TCR) to oversee contractor performance on electric transmission projects. You will ensure safety, schedule, and design compliance across upgrades and new substations, while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires strong problem-solving and leadership abilities, with extensive knowledge of line, substation, and civil construction. Travel and field work are expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant transmission line and substation work experience required.
• Experience working in the utility industry is highly preferred.
• Compliance management experience is a plus.
• Proficient at using a computer, iPad and Microsoft Office products.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must currently be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms for construction projects on the owner's electric transmission system.
• Monitor the safe completion of work, ensuring alignment with design specifications and safety standards.
• Manage a wide scope of projects, including substation upgrades and the construction of new substations.
• Identify issues that could affect timelines, quality, and safety.
• Assist in resolving issues to maintain project timelines and standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings and provide guidance for their application in construction.
• Ensure compliance with Owner construction standards and safety terms.
• Perform duties independently while mentoring lower-level TCRs.
