Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) years of relevant work experience in energy as analyst, engineer, or compliance specialist.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be self-directed and willing to mentor peers and team members.
• Ability to work in a team environment with independent thinking and cooperation.
• Demonstrated complex problem solving skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to develop industry contacts and negotiate outcomes.
• Understanding of utility operations, policy issues, and FERC regulations.
• Thorough understanding of FERC transmission and generator interconnection procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.

Responsibilities

• Processes FERC transmission and generator interconnection customer requests for service per OATT and FERC regulations.
• Manages transmission and interconnection requests from contract negotiation through execution; coordinates work with multiple internal departments and outside entities.
• Trains and mentors members of the Transmission Services OATT Administration team.
• Researches and remains current on federal, state and other statutes, regulations and orders.
• Implements FERC transmission and OATT compliance program to ensure work is compliant.
• Develops training programs to ensure employees are knowledgeable regarding regulatory compliance issues.
• Coordinates with compliance to meet FERC and OATT standards; interacts with auditors and implements corrective solutions.
• Provides input into federal and state rulemaking proceedings.
• Works across the organization to align proposals with company objectives and develop executable plans.
• Supports assessments of effectiveness of compliance controls and develops improvements.
• Provides support for the department's website.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
