Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of professional experience in transmission planning, grid interconnection, or power system operations.
• Deep understanding of interconnection processes in PJM, ERCOT, SERC and vertically integrated utilities.
• Strong technical skills in grid modelling, power flow studies, and constraint and cost analysis.
• Proven ability to work across teams and communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience engaging with utilities, data center developers and hyperscalers, RTOs, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Blue Energy’s transmission and interconnection strategy across the U.S.
• Screen development sites to assess costs and interconnection and deliverability feasibility of generation and potential co-located data center loads
• Manage, negotiate, and navigate interconnection queue processes and agreements, including technical, procedural, and commercial aspects and alignment with EPC and project teams
• Analyze grid power flows, constraints, and upgrade requirements to inform project siting and development.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align transmission insights with project development, permitting, and commercial strategies.
• Engage with RTOs, utilities, and regulators to advocate for project needs and ensure timely interconnection outcomes.
• Track and interpret transmission policy developments, market rule changes, and interconnection reforms.
• Build and manage external relationships with consultants, transmission planners, and engineering firms.
• Represent Blue Energy as a thought leader and subject matter expert on transmission with customers and in industry forums, working groups, and stakeholder processes.
