Puget Sound Energy seeks an Engineer III to support the Energy Supply Merchant organization. The role focuses on advanced engineering, technical analysis, and portfolio management of merchant transmission resources and asset integration.

The position leads workstreams, evaluates transmission rights, and coordinates with stakeholders to ensure reliable and cost-effective resource delivery across planning, procurement, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or related field. PE license may substitute.
• 5+ years of engineering experience including planning, design, cost estimating, and scheduling.

Responsabilités

• Provide advanced engineering, technical, and analytical support for merchant transmission portfolio management.
• Lead transmission, interconnection and asset integration workstreams.
• Analyze transmission availability, deliverability, congestion, outages, and resource delivery requirements.
• Develop recommendations on transmission service options, risks, costs, and implementation requirements.
• Apply knowledge of FERC OATT, BPA processes, interconnection requirements, and LGIP/LGIA provisions.
