Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Sr. Transition Manager to lead the execution of multiple transition projects, directing activities from kickoff to close with a strategic mindset and strong communication.

You will coordinate client engagements, manage staff, and drive schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation across complex installations. Ideal candidates bring 10–15 years of PM experience (including consulting), a deep understanding of TPM sectors, and the ability to travel up to 60%.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in logistics or related field.
• 10-15 years of project management experience, including 3-5 years of consulting experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with all levels of clients, vendors, consultants, etc. with clear and concise oral and written communications.
• Recruit, train and manage project staff and resources.
• Delegate responsibilities and oversee work on multiple complex projects.
• Build and manage project financial reports, maximizing potential for savings.
• Facilitate planning and scheduling sessions for large complex projects.
• Develop and maintain master plans, reports, budgets and other functional deliverables/management tools.
• Proactively identify risks and liability issues and mitigate exposure.
• Cultivate and maintain client and industry relationships.
• Proactively participate in business development opportunities including sales calls, proposal writing, presentations and contract negotiations.
• Responsible for the career development and coaching of team members
• Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
• Interprets and translates the organizational strategy, ensuring team understanding of their role in accomplishing strategic goals
• Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the "Builder of Choice".
