Job summary

Gilbane Building Company in Columbus is seeking a Senior Transition Manager to lead the implementation and execution of project activities across multiple transition projects within the TPM division. You will collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes while shaping strategic marketing initiatives.

As a coach and leader, you will build high-performing teams, establish measures of success, and travel up to 60% as needed.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in logistics or related field; 10–15 years of project management experience including 3–5 years in consulting.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% and work evenings/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients, vendors, and consultants with clear oral and written communications.
• Recruit, train, and manage project staff and resources.
• Delegate responsibilities and oversee work on multiple complex projects.
• Build and manage project financial reports to maximize savings.
• Facilitate planning and scheduling sessions for large, complex projects.
• Develop and maintain master plans, reports, budgets, and management tools.
• Identify risks and liability issues and mitigate exposure.
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment to motivate the team.
• Collaborate with business development to integrate with sales strategies.
• Support coaching and career development of team members.
